Mother charged with 9-month-old's death: wavy.com
YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) - A York County mother is facing a murder charge after police say a preliminary investigation indicated that her nine-month-old son most likely died from being shaken.
On November 18, EMS was called to the 200 block of Burts Road for reports of an unresponsive child. The baby later died at the hospital . Police are awaiting autopsy results.
Police arrested the boy's mother, 20-year-old Sabrina Battad, Friday afternoon. Battad is charged with first degree murder. She is currently being held at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail without bond.
