u want a deal but wht they want tell u is

Unconfirmed rumors have circulated (especially in Atlanta) that LaFace Records took great pains to look out for their male artists (financially) in comparison to their female artists. It was alleged (but never proven) that male artists received better contracts and royalty rates.

Despite TLC recording the biggest selling album (CrazySexyCool) in LaFace history (22 million units sold) they ended up in financial ruins. Usher's "Confessions" sold 20 million copies and Outkast's "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below" sold 11 million copies.

Yet, Usher and Outkast have never had financial problems (despite lower album sales).

L.A. Reid even paved the way for Usher to move into his former mansion.

Usher has had a new Porsche (each year) for the last decade, he was on the verge of purchasing a Bentley until his financial advisors advised him against it.

Meanwhile, TLC and Toni Braxton continue to struggle.
