Lincoln, NE------ A 21-year-old woman has been arrested after her 4-month-old son was admitted to hospital with 7 to 10 broken bones which were in various stages of healing.
Nicole Rene Westwood is being charged with two felony counts of child abuse. The baby boy was first taken to a hospital in Lincoln, then transferred to Children's Hospital in Omaha. The fractures were to his ribs, arms and legs.
The state has taken custody of her son and his 14-month-old sister as Westwood kicks back in jail on a $25,000 bond.
Westwood appears to have had active social life before ending up with two babies under the age of 14 months. On Facebook, she claims to be in the Army National Guard and is getting a degree in Criminal Justice. On her MySpace accounts, four total, two are private, she likes to have fun and party.
