MARRY GAY MAN TREND STARTED WITH JUDY GARLAND & LIZA MINELLI)

When Judy Garland's mom was carrying her in the womb, Judy's father demanded she have an abortion, at the last minute (in the clinic), she declined and one of the greatest voices in musical history was born! Judy often serenaded President John F. Kennedy over the telephone. Each time, Kennedy requested she sing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow."

Backstory:

Did Judy Garland's affection for gay men stem from her father (Francis)?

It's been rumored that Francis was spotted holding a man's hand in church and a scandal erupted between Francis and a boy-backstage at a Minnesota theater. The Garland family had to relocate to California.

Later, Judy would marry Vincent Minelli (black and white photo). He was openly gay and often wore light makeup, including blue eye shadow. As a young boy, Minelli had a penchant for trying on his mother's clothes. Yet he married four women (during his life span) and fathered two daughters.

Later, Liza would marry a gay man (Peter Allen-above color photo). The ink wasn't dry on the divorce papers when Peter hooked up with male model Gregory Connell who would later die of AIDS.

Allen would die of AIDS related throat cancer in 1992.
