H eavy D’s family have begun the difficult task of making funeral arrangements for their beloved son, brother, and father. A public viewing and private funeral is set for next week in New York City. While reports have surfaced that the rapper visited his doctor with flu-like symptoms, possibly pneumonia, just one day before he died suddenly, it will be a few weeks before the coroner’s office will officially releases a cause of death via toxicology reports.

Vernon, New York from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Following the public viewing, the next day, a private funeral will be held. The funeral is a “invite only” service to be held at Grace Baptist Church, also in Mt. Vernon. Invited guests of the family is said to include: Queen Latifah, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Will Smith, Mary J. Blige, The Wayans Brothers as well as Eddie Ferrell and Glen Parrish (former members of Heavy D and the Boyz) and others.
